Who
Does St. Francis Serve
St.
Francis School was established over seventy eight years ago to
serve the needs of Jicarilla Apache and Hispanic students in
the area. Our school functions on the work of our volunteer staff
and on minimal funds, most of which comes from private donations.
The school, church, and volunteer houses are situated in Lumberton,
New Mexico, a small community 3 miles east of Jicarilla Apache
Reservation, and 5 miles south of the Colorado border. Tough
larger towns and cities are easily accessible from Lumberton,
you will be living in relative isolation on a daily basis.
