Mission Statement
St. Francis School in Lumberton, New Mexico, exist to provide each student an education that will prepare them academically and spiritually to be leaders in their further pursuits. Our students will strive to live as Jesus did, proclaiming the gospel message by word and example. Theirs will be faith tradition of the Catholic Church, guided by the Holy Spirit.
 

St Francis Mission School, a private Catholic agency, was established in 1915 to serve the Jicarilla Apache and Hispanic students in the area. The school, church, and volunteer houses are situated in Lumberton, New Mexico, a small community 3 miles east of the Jicarilla Apache Reservation, and 5 miles south of the Colorado border. Our school functions on the work of our volunteer staff and minimal funds, most coming from private donations
