St. Francis School
St. Francis is a unique and special place of learning located in Lumberton, New Mexico.
Our school was founded over 95 years ago by the Franciscan Order to serve the local
Jicarilla Apache and Hispanic communities. The school's location in a beautiful and
remote area in the mountains of northern New Mexico, 5 miles from the Colorado border,
and 3 miles from the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation, gives its student body
a diverse and special quality. Our goal is to provide each student a quality education
that will prepare them for a fruitful life in partnership with their home, parish,
and community. We so this by providing sound academic and spiritual instruction for
kindergarten through eighth grades, with an enrollment of about 75-
Website and school updates:
There have been quite a few updates since the last post. Please check out the teacher pages to see what is going on in each grade. Some pages are still being worked on, so please forgive the construction. Also the monthly calendar and menus have been updated and will be updated for October as well. The calendar for the year is also up, sorry for the delay in posting that. Taking a suggestion from one of the parents, I have also added navigational links to the sides of the pages. Parents, don’t forget about engrade!! You can log on to see what the latest grades are for your students AND also communicate with the teacher. You can find the link for engrade under the parents tab. And last but not least, please don’t forget St. Francis fiesta this weekend!!! Movie night is Friday, breakfast and Dance on Saturday, and Mass, Bingo and Games are on Sunday. Hope to see you all there!!
We have a donation page now!! You can either use paypal and donate online, or for those who don’t like to give that information online you can get the address where you can send donations to. We appreciate any and all contributions to our school. Also, the teacher pages are up but they haven’t been worked on yet so please ignore them in the meantime. Thank you!!
8.2.11 Minor updates to website
Made some minor updates. There’s a hit counter now so people can see how many have visited the site. This will be good for the school to see if parents and students are visiting the site frequently. Also, there was a mistake with the online application but it is fixed now. Please check back for school updates.
That’s right! The previous layout was causing difficulty in updating, and was slow on the server so we’re hoping that this layout will be much more of an improvement. If you have any questions or comments or suggestions please email the web designer at leo81886@gmail.com. Also, we’re looking for fresh pictures for the website AND next years yearbook, so if you have any please also send them to that address. Thank you!
Currently we are off for the summer break, so there are no school updates. For new teachers however, please be sure to be present in Lumberton, NM the 27th of July for new teacher orientation. Returning teachers, please be back the 2nd of August. School starts August 10th.
